We mail printed letters to the owners of local service businesses. The closing of each letter carries the number below, with the sentence printed under it. This page shows the same number and the same sentence, and the greeting a caller hears, so you can read the terms before you text or call. A text from this number is always a reply to contact you started: a text you sent us, or a call to this number that nobody picked up. How the closing of our letter prints
The picture below is the closing of a letter as it prints, for a sample company. The number and the sentence under it are the call to action: an owner who reads it and then texts the number has agreed to a text reply.
When you call and nobody picks up
A call to (518) 759-7065 rings Dillon first. If he does not pick up, you hear this greeting before the tone, word for word:
“You've reached Dillon at Local Business Advisors. Sorry I missed you. When you hang up, I will text you at this number about your call. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to end texts. Or leave your name and number after the tone, and I will call you back within the hour.”
When the call ends, the line sends one text to the number you called from, about your call — also if you hang up while it rings. It is one text, at most one a day to a number, and never after you reply STOP. The text reads:
“Dillon at Local Business Advisors here. Sorry I missed your call. Text me back here, or I will call you within the hour, between 8am and 8pm. Reply STOP to end texts.”

Program description. Texts to owners who received our letter and contacted us at (518) 759-7065, the number printed on it: replies to an owner's texts with the answers to his questions about his letter, and one text back when an owner's call to the number was not picked up. A text is only ever a reply to contact the owner started. No marketing texts.
How you opt in. By texting (518) 759-7065 after reading the sentence printed under the number on your letter, or by calling it: a caller nobody picks up hears the greeting above and gets one text about the call. Nobody is added to a list.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies: replies to your own texts and calls, a few messages a day at most.

Opt out. Reply STOP to any text from this number to stop texts. Reply START to begin again.
